SALYCUMINOL Isodecyl Salicylate, Isopropylbenzyl Salicylate.
Combination of 2-Hydroxybenzoates and 4-Isopropylbenzyl alcohol. Acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Possesses anti-lipoperoxidation action and keratoplastic activity in alternative to peeling with AHA (alphahydroxyacids). Used for the treatment of dyskeratosis, it is not a local anaesthetic. It can be liquid, semi crystalline or crystalline, it has under cooling properties and is freely soluble in liquid hydrocarbons from petroleum, vegetable oils, lipophilic esters.
