79-06-1 Acrylamide is a chemical commonly used in the production of paper, paint, and other industrial products. It can also form when certain foods are cooked at high temperatures. Frying, baking, or roasting certain foods, such as potatoes or grains, can form acrylamide. For example, French fries and potato chips can have measurable levels of acrylamide. Acrylamide is also found in cigarette smoke.
